Case Study

Westbrook Transit

The Westbrook Station is the third on the new West Line of Calgary’s light rail system. The station, along with the rest of the line, opened on December 10, 2012.

A challenging and interesting project, the scope of work included a T-bar ceiling with trapezoidal acoustic panels. Tagular tiles were used and since there was a 1 mm difference between each tile and the next, they had to be custom cut then clipped and fastened. This is especially tricky work as the tiles break easily and are costly. Knowledge, patience and experience were needed to do this job right.
